Logistics, Courtesy Shuttle, and Check-in volunteers are staffed by friends and family of our professional emergency services staff.
Logistics and Courtesy Shuttle volunteers must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. We also require at least one year on the playa prior to performing in these roles.
Question: Why do I have to have prior Burning Man experience in order to work logistics and courtesy shuttle shifts?
Answer: These roles require finding your way around the city to deliver people, food, recycling, etc. Navigating in our fair city is not an easy task and even returning volunteers can get lost, but newbies don’t stand a chance. Get a year of Black Rock City under your belt before attempting to volunteer for these teams, please and thank you.
